Fourth Annual ANT Fest
Are you ready to expose yourself to New York City? We’re now accepting submissions for our fourth annual ANT Fest, a five-week festival of all new talent from October 17 to November 19 showcasing fresh material from New York’s most exciting emerging artists.
Ars Nova is on the prowl for talented artists who see the future of live entertainment and want the chance to show off their skills. We’re interested in edgy, offbeat, charged performances that tell a story, make us laugh, showcase musicians with a vibrant new sound, or blur the boundaries between theater, music and comedy. If it can be performed live on stage, we’re interested!
Thirty unique submissions will each be given a night to perform in Ars Nova’s intimate 99-seat theater and the opportunity to be a part of artist-driven parties and events throughout the festival.
Think you’ve got the skills?

terraNOVA Collective 2011 Groundbreakers Playwrights Program
terraNOVA Collective is accepting submissions for 2011 Groundbreakers Playwrights Program, a developmental play writing lab that offers 5 playwrights a unique opportunity to develop their plays over a 4-month period into performance-ready work.
We welcome submissions of new plays and solo shows in various stages of development that will benefit from group feedback and further terraNOVA Collective's artistic mission of creating theatrical, innovative, and socially relevant new work for the stage. From August to December 2011, each playwright brings in her or his play three times for a round-table reading with professional actors, receiving feedback from other Groundbreakers members, special guests, and the artistic staff of terraNOVA Collective.
We are especially interested in writers who, in addition to working on their own project, have an interest in actively participating in a writer’s group and giving other writers in the group feedback. Application, instructions and program requirements at http://www.terranovacollective.org/Groundbreakers.php
Postmark Deadline: Monday, June 6, 2011.
